5. Why do I get whiteheads on my face after hair removal?
Whiteheads are the result of using make-up or lotion immediately after hair removal, since the lotions can get caught in the follicles. Wait at least four hours before applying make-up or lotions. Also, keep you fingers away from treated area to avoid the transfer of bacteria from you fingers. Apply a small amount of witch hazel after hair removal to help prevent whiteheads.

6. What can I do to prevent ingrown hairs after hair removal?
Ingrown hairs are caused by hair that is too weak to break through the skin's surface due to the presence of dead skin cells on top of the follicle. Use a loofah or "buff-puff" sponge every day when you wash. Alexandria Sloughing Lotion should be applied every other day to help prevent ingrown hairs.

7. Why do I sometimes get red spots after removing the hair?
The reasons for this are the strength of the hair, and the width of the follicle. If your follicles are wide, there is a greater chance of blood coming to the surface. Apply a cold, wet, clean cloth to the area, and press firmly. This disappears after a couple of hours. Our Bikini Relief™ Gel also offers excellent benefits for this reaction.

13. Can I use the sugaring paste or no-heat gel if I have varicose veins?
Check with your doctor first. Most people have no problem because the paste or gel is only used when cool or warm, not hot. If the paste was hotter, it would cause more blood to rush to the veins causing them to enlarge and be more sensitive.

14. Why do I get bumps on my face after hair removal?
Some women, have a strong network of facial hair roots. If these bumps result, discontinue use on your face. You may still use the sugaring paste, wax or no-heat gel on other parts of your body. Men should not attempt to remove hair by the root from the face.
